We're all for people embracing their fetishes, but reports of an unusual marketing ploy by an Italian undertakers has left us feeling decidedly spooked-out!

The firm has tried to sex-up their image by launching a marketing campaign featuring glamour models draped on the company's coffins.

Cofanifunebri, which is based in Rome, has created an eye-catching calendar featuring scantily clad ladies posing in front of a range of coffins, in a bid to "play down such a serious subject and to smile," said owner Maurizio Matteucci.

"It is good marketing but it is also a way to play down such a serious subject and to smile. Coffins are consumer goods like any other things, so I sell in the same way as any other consumer goods are sold. The calendar is very popular."
