The weekend is approaching - so what's on your agenda?

A stroll in the park, a romantic movie date and then plenty of action in the sack?

Just make sure you're up to it all by eating the right grub to get that lusty libido at its prime.

According to dietician Tanya Zuckerbrot, you still can't beat a good oyster to get the blood pumping.

"Oysters are a well-known aphrodisiac and it goes beyond the old wives tale," she told Fox News.

"That's because oysters contain zinc [which] increases libido."

She added that a few green spears could also have some pleasurable side-effects.

"Asparagus contains foliate which is necessary for histamine production and histamine is necessary for both males and females to reach orgasm.

"You are actually allowed to eat with your fingers. So there's something to be said for picking up asparagus and gingerly eating it that is sure to get your partner in the mood."

Who'd have thought veg could be that sexy?
