When Leonardo DiCaprio was 17, he was obsessed with sex, according to Russell Crowe.

The Australian actor has been speaking about working with the Hollywood heavyweight as a teenager and revealed that he knew him before he popped his cherry, as they say.

Russell added that he'd be keen for a quick catch-up with the Leo, who dated Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen and recently split from Israeli model Bar Rafaeli, regarding his love-life since the pair filmed the western, The Quick and the Dead.

"You know, I worked with Leonardo when he was 17 on The Quick and the Dead. He was a virgin, and he'd talk about that constantly," he revealed.

"So I'm hoping we have some time so he can fill in what's happened in between, maybe show some photos. Because I'm sure life's different now."

Leo, 32, has been nominated three times for an Academy Award. His first was at the age of 19 for playing a mentally handicapped boy in the film What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
