That's according to a recent survey by UKdating.com which has complied the top characteristics which make up Mr Right.

He needs to be clean shaven, at least five foot ten inches and 'good looking', with blue eyes and short dark-brown hair (sounds like we're all vying for Jake Gyllenhaal then? Watch out Reese!)

Salary-wise, he must be making more than £30,000, drive a silver Mercedes and own a £300,000 home. But that's not all. He must not smoke, like pets and dislike football, and not have wracked up any marriages or children yet.

"The female daters on our website certainly know what they want and they are not afraid to let the men know," said David Brown, managing director of UKdating.com.

"They are treating looking for a man in a similar way to looking for a mortgage - by going to websites, saying what they want and comparing what is out there."
