Anyone in Edinburgh who enjoys a bit of hip-grinding in their relationship can avail of pole-dancing lessons on offer at a revamped club in the city.

The Scottish sauce enthusiasts behind Club Ego revealed the new incarnation, dubbed Luna, this month, with rumours circling that the venue will also end up hosting burlesque events.

"We've been running lessons by Pole Stars for a while, but we're going to start can-can and ballroom dancing lessons too," assistant events manager Krishma Bachoo told The List.

The enterprising organiser went on to explain that hen-party revellers are expected to flock to the venue and will be offered Luna's downstairs bar for hire.

"So if all goes to plan, topless waiters might be mincing past the fish tank downstairs, dishing out martinis, while a knicker-flashing can-can lesson kicks off upstairs," quipped the magazine.

The club's transformation is timely, as Sun fitness expert Nicki Waterman noted earlier this month that dirty dancing not only ups the ante in the boudoir, it can also help people tone up and keep their legs and bums in trim condition.

She even advised adventurous dating duos to set about devising their own lap dances to perform for each other at home.
