A worried janitor was forced to call the local police when he noticed a suspicious package in the garage of his building that seemed to be vibrating.

The unmarked item was treated as dangerous by Goteborg police who decided to be safe not sorry and call in a bomb disposal squad to investigate the incident.

However, when the team finally opened the pulsating package after closing off the surrounding area, the poor janitor may have been left a bit red in the face.

Fortunately there was nothing to worry about. The shaking parcel in fact contained a vibrator that had accidentally gone off in its parcel.

And by the time the squad got there, it had apparently run out of batteries anyway!

Police spokesman Jan Strannegard said: "The package was vibrating when the janitor found it, but I think it had sort of died out by the time it was disarmed."

We wonder if anyone went to collect it from the 'lost and found'?
