Clever scientists have produced a pill which promises not only to improve your sex life, but also put the spontaneity back into it.

The drug which is used to treat erectile dysfunctions says it differs from Viagra, as it does not have to be taken before a planned sex session, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

Eli Lilly, the drug maker, says this new pill can be taken once-a-day for men who hop on the job at least twice a week.

The daily dose means men will be ready to go at any time and no planning is needed.

It has been described as giving a "more real" sexual experience, but this comes at a cost of $190 (£90) for 24 pills.

Professor Doug Lording, who works at Melbourne's Cabrinin Hospital, said the pill "can give them back a more natural sexual experience with flow-on benefits to their overall wellbeing".

Currently the drug is only to be released in Australia, but we can keep our fingers crossed that it comes round the globe to give us a helping hand.

This news comes just in time for National Orgasm Day, which is on July 31st.
