New Yorkers popping into their local Lower East Side sex shop on Monday (January 21st) may have been a little surprised with the additional entertainment put on in the store.

Fans of REM would have been delighted to find the rockers performing in the Big Apple's Babeland sex toy emporium at the beginning of the week, who were being filmed for the video for their new single Supernatural Serious from forthcoming album Accelerate.

The band reportedly rung up co-owner of the sexy shop, Claire Cavanah, just that afternoon to request that the group could visit the premises.

She told Billboard: "Of course, we were thrilled."

And there not the only celebrities spotted in a sex shop. Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria took Victoria Beckham on a spree in Hollywood last November.
