If you are trying to get your man to quit the cigs, researchers have revealed yet another reason for him to trash that pack.

According to a recent investigation by scientists in the US, smoking just before getting fresh lowers a bloke's sexual appetite.

After conducting an unusual experiment, Dr Cindy Meston and her team found that nicotine had a negative effect on a man's sexual arousal in a matter of minutes of it entering the blood stream, reports the Metro.

A collection of non-smoking men were given nicotine gum to chew, while another set were provided with normal gum and both groups were then, 40 minutes later, asked to watch a porn film.

The scientists recorded a 23 per cent drop in sexual appetite in those with nicotine in their blood, compared to those who just munched on normal gum.

So, stub it out and get it on!
