A couple who decided to spice up their relationship by getting chained up were left red faced when the key to their handcuffs went missing.

Zoe Comaish was forced to wait for two hours while three policemen tried to free the embarrassed lady from her harness after boyfriend Stuart Fisher lost the key to their sex cuffs.

However, the police were only able to free the unlucky lady from her bed, but could not remove the handcuffs, so the pair had to make a trip to their local fire station.

"I've never gone so red in my whole life," said Zoe told the Sun.

"They told us we'd have to go down to the fire station. Zoe was mortified. They were all laughing and wished us luck," Stuart added.

"We were just trying to spice up our sex life - but including three policemen and twenty fireman wasn't in the plan."
