Getting laid's easy now, say Wombats

Getting laid

Up-and-coming Brit band The Wombats have revealed that getting famous has meant that "getting laid" is now a whole lot easier.

The Liverpudlian trio have said that girls now throw themselves at the boys, even though they don't intent to take them up on the offers.

"It's definitely a lot easier but we don't see ourselves as big rock 'n' rollers chasing anything that moves," lead singer Matt Murphy told the Sun.

Bass player Tord Overland-Knudsen added: "If we wanted to get laid every single night - we could."

The band, which also includes drummer Dan Haggis, was given a gong for Best Dancefloor Filler at last night's (February 28th) NME awards for their single Let's Dance To Joy Division.

Other winners included the Arctic Monkeys for Best British Band, Best Track and Best Video, as well as Enemy for Best New Band and Kate Nash for Best Solo Artist.
