Ewan McGregor might be an old hand at movie sex scenes - but even the veteran actor can find them a touch embarrassing.

The Scottish thesp was faced with the challenge of sex scenes with five different actresses - all strangers - in his new film Deception.

In the erotic thriller, Ewan plays a solitary Wall Street auditor who joins a high-priced sex club known as 'The List'.

In a recent interview with the Times, Ewan revealed that he found sex scenes "interesting", admitting that he had done "a lot of them" and adding that he tried to find "something about them that is realistic".

"I think finding those moments that make it real makes for the audience a much more erotic experience, or a much more powerful experience, because you recognise things you do yourself, or things that have happened to you," he said.

"I think sex isn't like Hollywood sex. It's very often many things, but it can very often be awkward."
