London's Kensington Olympia was a hot-pot of seduction and kinkiness over the weekend when it held its three-day Erotica show.

The fetish event was graced by an estimated 80,000 people, many of whom were no doubt hoping to sneak a peek at the queen bee of burlesque, Dita Von Teese, who performed her Bird of Paradise striptease dance.

"It's daring, decadent fun and sexy, that's what Erotica's all about," chief executive Richard Thompson told Agence France-Presse.

"It's very much above board. You get all types of people here. People have been having sex forever; let's celebrate a great experience.

"We're a responsible portal for people to come along and understand and maybe experience new things in a very relaxed environment."

He added: "It's about shared experience and fun."
