Embarking on your first ever sex scene as an actor must be a little daunting anyhow, but having to contend with a load of spaghetti as well?

Hobbit actor Elijah Wood will appear in his latest movie, The Oxford Murders, getting up to some saucy (tomato we presume?) antics involving the pasta and his co-star Leonor Watling.

He revealed: "On the page it actually read a little bit silly and to make something like that seem fun and relaxed was quite difficult. But it was fun. I'd never had a sex scene in a film, so it was new ground for me."

Elijah went on to add that he and Leonor "had a lot of trust in one another", which helped his nerves.

"And she's a beautiful woman so that's not difficult either.

"It's a bit awkward when you're working with a female actress and get on really well, but then there's nudity in front of you. You immediately feel like you have to be respectful so you can't look at what's in front of you."
