It's officially over - Kevin Federline and Britney Spears' divorce has been finalised.

The all important documents were signed yesterday (July 30th), ending their relationship which lasted for three years and involved only two years of marriage.

Custody over the pair's children, 22-month-old Sean Preston and ten-month-old Jayden James, has been settled fifty-fifty, ending speculation that Federline was to get more.

Britney's lawyer Laura Wasser confirmed the news outside the Los Angeles courthouse, saying: "Everything is finalised. They are divorced."

She added that Britney was okay with the terms but "I think both of them would prefer to have more custody, and that can be worked out down the line", reports the Sun.
