Burlesque babe Dita Von Teese is set to be the star of a new campaign for an iconic lingerie company.

The curvy performer will be modelling for Frederick's of Hollywood, legendary creators of lingerie since 1946 whose clients have included various movie stars such as 1950s pin-up and bondage model Bettie Page.

Dita, real name Heather Renee, will feature in Frederick's Pin-Up Parade commercials, cavorting in styles that have been inspired by vintage lingerie items worn by "glamour goddesses and dream dames" of old.

"As a long-time fan of the history of the Frederick's brand, it's a great honour to be chosen to represent the company by appearing as the star of the 2007 Holiday Pin-Up Parade," said Dita.

"Frederick's of Hollywood has been giving women the accoutrements they desire to bring glamour and sensuality into their lives by offering a wide selection of both the elegant and the risque since 1946. I'm proud to be the face of such a legendary institution of lingerie."
