Britney fans will be pleased to hear that the princess of pop appears to have bagged herself a new man.

The troubled singer has been spotted on a date with actor and waiter Michel Marchand, whom she met at the eatery he works in Los Angeles.

The couple, who it is thought have been dating for a couple of weeks, were seen enjoying a cosy meal at Michel's restaurant Mirabella and seemed to be having a whole lot of fun, reports says Life & Style Magazine.

A source told the magazine: "Michael Marchand came a little after midnight, and Britney Spears came in right after.

"They were being discreet. Forty-five minutes later, they left the restaurant together. He was charming. He made Britney laugh and looked at her with this secret smile. They left in separate cars."

Britney was also sporting a trim-looking figure after a rumoured liposuction session. We wonder if she's trying to impress her new man? Sounds a bit extreme to us!
