Over half of Brits don't spend anything on their sex lives, according to a new survey.

A survey conducted for Erotica has revealed that 52 per cent of us spend zilch on passion - not even sexy underwear. What's more, 21 per cent devote a measly £25 on a year on spicing up our lust - we either don't need it or we're neglecting ourselves, big time!

"If you ask, most people will say that sex is one of the most important parts of their lives; yet they don't spend money making it more fun," said chief executive of Erotica Richard Thomson.

"It's more acceptable than ever for women to use porn, there are more sexy underwear shops than ever and the internet has made it less embarrassing to indulge yourself."

There are a few of us who are seriously splurging on our urges. Around one per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds admitted to spending £2,000 a year - 60,000 people! What a mixed bunch we are?
