Urm, we are in a state of shock! Yes, it's news about Britney again, but this time it doesn't involve any bum flashing, boozy romps or temper tantrums.

The wayward pop star has finally released some music! The new single was aired for the first time on New York radio station Z-100's website last night (August 30th) and involved all the classic Britney traits we know and love.

Opening with Spears proclaiming "It's Britney, b***h" she then, reportedly, really went for those breathy vocals, accompanied by a catchy and super sexy pop beat.

The single, called Gimme More, ended with producer Nate 'Danjahandz' Hills saying, "Bet you didn't see this coming." How apt - we certainly didn't!

What's more, the comeback queen is set to perform a raunchy set at the MTV Music Awards on September 9th as the opening act. Looks like she's finally got it together - we can't wait for more!
