Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and if you're one half of a couple you might already be agonising over what to get your beloved.

So here's an idea that might spice up your romantic night - a burlesque dance.

And we're not suggesting struggling along with your own make-shift routine. One professional dancer is offering ladies the chance to perfect the technique under her instruction.

Burlesque artist Gwendoline Lamour will teach students the basics about "posture, alignment and core stability". The class will look at 18th century dancing master manuals, as well as dabbling in a bit of ballet, yoga, pilates and showgirl work.

And in part two of the session, to be held at the Belowzero restaurant in London on February 6th, the class will learn how to walk and stand in heels, how to use a chair "to flirt", as well as "shoe and stocking striptease" and "fun with gloves".

Sounds like a very educational experience!
