Fans of the film My Girl will be happy to hear that the movie's female star Anna Chlumsky is returning to the acting world.

Chlumsky, who played 11-year-old Vada Sultenfuss alongside child star Macaulay Culkin and Dan Akroyd in the 1991 film, quit acting to return to her studies and went on to university, as well as enjoying a brief stint as a restaurant critic.

However, now 27, the blonde actress is taking to the boards in an altogether more adult role in Unconditional, a stage show that she promises will feature some S&M.

"There'll be some S&M. It's exciting," she revealed.

Speaking about her time in obscurity, she added: "I got a job at Zagat [guide book], thinking I'd review restaurants. Instead I fielded angry rants from chefs. I realised that all I've ever wanted to do is act."
